Medical Education Grants

Our Medical Education Grants support independent medical education programs that provide educational or professional development activities for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other HCPs. Medical education may be accredited or non-accredited.

Examples of grants awarded for medical education include conferences, scientific forums, guideline dissemination quality improvement initiatives and awards for fellows and young investigators.

Patient Advocacy Grants

Our Patient Advocacy Grants support specific programs designed, organized, and controlled by independent external organizations to support the needs of patients and caregivers.

Examples of grants awarded for patient advocacy include patient and caregiver education and outreach programs designed to foster a sense of community among patients, caregivers, and families, and activities aimed at developing and supporting advocacy group leaders.

Our Review Process

Alexion accepts Grant request applications on a rolling basis.  Grants are reviewed through a formal, centralized decision-making process. Requests should be submitted with sufficient time for review, minimum of three months prior to when a funding decision is needed. Grant applications for events that will take place before this time frame will not be considered. Funding decisions will be communicated as they are approved.
