About Erica

Erica leads Information Technology (IT) for Alexion, and Research & Development (R&D) IT for AstraZeneca. She oversees the technology, data and digital strategy – including AI and emerging technologies.  Partnering across the business to enable innovation, operational resilience and scalable value delivery. Her team spans multiple continents and advance secure, modern platforms that support scientific, clinical, manufacturing and commercial outcomes.

Erica joined Alexion in 2023 as VP of IT and extended her responsibilities to include R&D IT for AstraZeneca in 2025. In these roles, she drives the alignment of architecture, data platforms and digital product delivery to accelerate productivity, and improve experiences for patients, health-care professionals and business partners.

Prior to joining Alexion, Erica spent nearly a decade in senior pharmaceutical industry technology leadership, including VP of IT for Patient Services & Market Access and Head of IT for Advanced Therapies at Novartis. Earlier, she held business operations and IT leadership positions in the finance and technology sectors, with international experience in Asia, Europe, Africa and the USA.
