About Shane
Shane provides strategic leadership to the Global Manufacturing and Engineering organizations, leading global capital programs for the Alexion manufacturing network. Since joining Alexion in 2014, Shane led the development of Ireland-based manufacturing operations at College Park and Athlone, and the Global Operations Engineering team. In 2015, the oversight of manufacturing operations at Contract Manufacturing (CMO) sites was added to his responsibilities. Prior to joining Alexion, Shane spent more than 15 years in manufacturing and engineering roles most recently at Genzyme, and also within Merck, Pfizer, and La Farge UK.
Shane earned his MBA from Smurfit Business School, UCD, Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Cork Institute of Technology, and Bachelor of Science Industrial Chemistry degree from the University of Limerick.
